Stumbling Into Grace Book Review

As a Christian woman, living life can sometimes be confusing.  We try our hardest to be strong and live a perfect life, all while dealing with feelings of guilt or shame, hypocrisy or insecurity.  It's enough to make any lady feel like a klutz at times.

The most recent book I got to review from Booksneeze is called, "Stumbling Into Grace -Confessions of a Sometimes Spiritually Clumsy Woman".  The title alone had me intrigued.  Being a not-so-perfect girl myself, I thought it would be a funny, but meaningful read.

Author, Lisa Harper takes us on her personal journey of a life of faith, in a witty, honest way.  The book reads sort of like a diary/ devotional.

Each chapter is broken into sections that include:

Scripture
The Heart of His Story
Hope for Our Ongoing Stories
Living in Light of His Story - a prayer
Personal Reflection and/or Group Discussion Questions
Journal Entry

My thoughts:

It's an easy read, only 189 pages, but it did sit on my coffee table for a while before I really sat down to read it.  It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but still made me chuckle a bit.  I like the reflection parts as they made me give serious thought to issues in my life.

Disclosure: I received this book in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are 100% mine.
