Cherished Book Review

I don't read fiction much, but I came across a book that I had to read.  For the past 10 weeks, I've been digesting bite sized chunks of a book called "Cherished", by Kim Cash Tate.  I owe my library so much money, I should have just bought the book!

I became interested in this book after seeing a video of DaTruth and the author of this book.  Many of you know that I'm a huge fan of Gospel Rap and some of you know of the infidelity in his marriage.  He has since been restored to God and his wife, and Tate was inspired to write a book based off their story.  watch the video here.

The book starts off a little slow, and kinda corny, but quickly turns interesting.  Basically, it's about two different women and how they find God and forgiveness for their past mistakes.

Kelli is a young women who God has given a gift to sing but is afraid to use it because of wrong choices that she made in her past.  She's also very bitter from her last relationship that left her wounded.  When she is faced with dealing with her ex boyfriend when he comes back into her life by no choice of her own.  She ultimately has to make a decision whether she'll remain bitter or allow God to heal her heart.

Heather is a girl that has for so long looked for love in all the wrong places not caring about who gets hurt by her actions.  She finds herself in a very low, loney place, when she rededicates her life to Christ.

This story is about friendship, forgiveness, and restotarion to God, with a little bit of drama mixed in.  I'm glad I kept reading this book and renewing it from my library.  Definitely the best fiction book I read in years.
