How We Love Our Kids Book Review

Most people have heard of the 5 love languages.  It's where you can learn the love language of your spouse. But how many of us could really use the help in the department of raising our kids?  I'm sure all of us can make some sort of improvement.

I recently received a book to review called, "How We Love Our Kids, The 5 Love Styles of Parenting".  I thought is should be interesting read.

Contents

Part 1: Helping Your Child

The Mirackle and The Mess
What Determines How We Parent
The Avoider, Pleaser, Vacillator, Controller, and Victim Parents

Part 2: Helping Your Child

Helping Any Child
The Avoider,Pleaser, Vallictor, Controller and Victim Child
and so much more!

Here's a  for you to enjoy.

My thoughts

This book was very interesting.  It comes with several assessments that you can take that make it easy to identify your love styles.  I learned what my style of parenting is and techniques to use with my children.  I also learned what my children's styles were, except for my daughter.  She's just special.  Let's leave it at that!

I would recommend this book for anyone that is trying to understand why they parent the way they do and/or how to better understand your children.  For more info, visit the author's website here.

Disclosure: I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
