Betty Crocker Ultimates Helper & Potatoes Giveaway - CLOSED

It's been a long time since I had Hamburger Helper.  Myblogspark offered some for me to try out and give away to one of my readers.

My mom used to make it for us as kids and I didn't mind it one bit.  When I first got married, it was my go to meal.  At least until a friend of mine started making fun of me for not being able to cook my family real meals from scratch. Some friend right?

Any-who, I stopped using them because I found that the meals had MSG in them.  Since then, a lot has changed and Hamburger Helper no long has those pesky ingredients in them.  Good, but I still had that whole I'm-not-a-good-cook-if-I-don't-make-it-from-scratch thing going on.

But a momma needs a break o.k.? Especially since my husband won't cook.  Ever!  So I decided that I would give it another try.

So I whipped up a batch of Three Cheese Marinara Hamburger Helper for my family.  It's always been so easy to make.  Brown your hamburger (I used  ground turkey) add water, and the contents in the box.  Follow the directions, of course.

Now, my kids hate cheese and that's what I received in the mail, so naturally there were lots of looks of disgust lol.  But it tasted decent to me, and I think I even heard an approval from my husband.  Wow!  Oh, and that friend of mine? She now cooks with Hamburger Helper!  Crazy isn't it!
