Go Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness

Recently, a very young lady I know was diagnosed with breast cancer.  In the past weeks, I have seen her continue to smile and live life while undergoing surgery and chemo.

Most of us know someone who has had battled this awful disease.  For breast cancer awareness month, I wanted to highlight four ways to help support those who are in the fight of their lives.

1. Show support by lending a hand.  Whether it's carrying groceries in or running an errand for them, I'm sure they'll appreciate the gesture.

2. Show support by lending ear.  Sometimes folks just want to share what they're going through.  Visiting, calling, or just sitting on a neighbor's stoop can me a lot.

3. Show support with your dollars.  Everywhere you look, there are ways to make a purchase whose proceeds go to fighting breast cancer.  From your sons pink socks that he wears during his games, to pink accessories.  There's something you can wear to show your support.  I'm all about pink nails and Essie (affiliate) has a super cute set. See above.

4. Most importantly, donate your time and/or money to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and help as they search for a cure.

Don't forget to wear your Pink this month!
