Refinary 29 Style Stalking Book Review - STACIE RAYE

Refinary 29 Style Stalking Book Review

I'm no fashionista, but I like to learn about fashion trends and how to dress well.  As soon as I saw I could review a complimentary copy of Refinary 29's new book, I snatched it up.

"Refinary 29 Style Stalking" by Christene Barberich and Piera Gelardi, is a book for all the fashion freaks out there.  If you are not familiar with Refinary 29, it is a popular fashion and beauty online magazine and they released their new book in October.

Inside this fashion resource, you'll find sections on:

1. Brights
2. Layering
3. Ladylike
4. Black
5. Mixed Prints
6. Denim
7. Good Vintage
8. Ugly Pretty
9. Metallics
10. Tomboy

Each section has basic training tips to get you started as well as Q&A's with top fashion icons such as Solange Knowles.

What I found is that I am a brights kinda girl.  I've actually have known this for years, and if you follow me on instagram and my facebook page, most of my pics are in bright, bold, colors.  It's just how I roll!

I guess I'm like Solange!
My thoughts

This book would be a great resource for those who want to learn more about fashion and how to achieve certain looks.  I personally like the layering section, since I live in the Midwest.  This sister needs a few tips on how to layer!  Now, I'm not crazy about every section in the book like the Ugly Pretty and a few others. Some of the outfits are just plain weird to me. But honestly there's something in this book for everyone.

Style Stalking would be the ultimate gift for the fashion girl in your life.  You can purchase Refinery29: Style Stalking from Amazon. (affiliate)

Will you be purchasing this book or giving it as a gift?

*I receive a free book to review in exchange for my thoughts. Opinions are all mine.

  1. This seems like a great reference tool to have especially when shopping to add pieces to your existing wardrobe when the seasons change. I like to think I am colorful, but I love my blacks!
