Guess What I Got? A Keurig!

One of the things on my Christmas list was a Keurig Brewing System.  I had had several opportunities to receive one for free from Influenster, Bzzagent, and Expotv.  Well, at least they were all giving away the new Keurig 2.0, but for some reason, this mega coffee drinker didn't qualify.  Seriously? Don't they know I'm a coffee connoisseur?

Anywho, I made mention my hubbs that I had wanted one, but really didn't expect one.  As a Mom, I always make sure that everyone else has a decent Christmas (as far as presents go) and rarely want a gift for myself.  Plus, I knew all extra money would go towards the kids.

My hubbs had wrapped a rectangular box with my name on it and put it under the tree.  He told me, "Don't shake it"!  Now of course when he said that, my mind began to wonder.  "Hmmm, are these perhaps K-Cups for the Keurig I'm about to get?  The box is too long though.  Maybe they're slippers, which I desperately need.  Or, maybe he's just trying to fool me altogether".

Christmas morning confirmed all my ponderings.  They were K-cups!  But where was the Keurig?  Hiding behind him the entire time while we opened presents.  I had not even seen him retrieve it.

A red Keurig?  I've never seen one of these.  Isn't she beautiful?!

Gotta have that decaf though.

Ahhh, delicious!

The Keurig Brewing System is the easiest way to make a quick cup of coffee.  You just drop in the K-cup and close it.  Push the button and your done!

Turns out hubby had been saving his own money to buy something for me for Christmas.  When he heard I wanted a Keurig, he knew just what to get.

That, he did!

Do you own a Keurig?

  2. Yes, I do. I kept my old coffee maker just for when we all get together like over the holidays. As we are a big group. Then packed it back away. We love our Keurig, no wasted half pots of coffee or over heated taste. Woo Hoo love the red! I bet she looks pretty on your counter. Love your photos!

  3. Oh that's so nice! And it's in my favorite color. :-) When these first came out they didn't interest me too much, but as more options have been developed I have really been wanting to try one. Too bad we live so far apart, it's a little difficult to stop by for a cup.

    1. Yes good job to the Hubbs. He made a nice deposit into the love bank. Should last unless he makes a rather large withdrawal lol. The nice thing about these Keurig is that you can brew tea too. Maybe you'd like that better.

  10. That has got to be the sexiest "coffee maker" I've ever seen. I loved making coffee with the Keurig when I use to temp at some office in NYC. There is nothing like making the perfect cup of coffee all the time. Kudos to hubby for being a good listener! Enjoy!

  11. Is it bad to say I am COVETING this Keurig machine? I've wanted a Keurig forever but always talk myself out of it. But this one with the family style option deserves to be loved by me. I'm sure you are enjoying your new baby. And I love that it's red!

    1. It took only a couple of minutes to heat up the first time you turn it on. After that, it's takes less than 30 seconds for a cup.

  15. Stacie he was sooooo sweet! Awww. I love that color too. I too have been trying to get one through those programs and have not. But I am so glad I did not get the new 2.0 one because It will not take any other cups but their brands now. Yours you got will take ANY cups even they type you can make yourself with the little one! You got the BEST one in my book that will allow you to be frugal if you wish!
