Dollar Tree Beauty: Hit or Miss?

Dollar Tree stores have tons of cheap beauty products. But do they work? I headed to my local Dollar Tree store on a mission to see if I can help save you some money.

I bought a bunch of beauty products with one thing in mind, to see if these babies were worth the money. Hey, I know it's only a dollar, but who wants to waste their hard earned cash? Aint no body got time for that!

Dollar Tree Beauty Hits

Dermasil - We've got a winner! I have been using this lotion on my kids dry, itchy, skin for a couple years now and my kid loves it. In fact, he prefers it to other well know and more expensive brands.

Corn Starch Baby Powder - I have been using this brand for a long time. It smells nice and works just as good as any other baby powder.

Super Dry Top Coat - This is one of the best top coats I have used! Seriously, I feel like my at home manicure lasts so much longer and doesn't chip as much as the others. Buy this!

Dollar Tree Beauty Miss

White Rain facial Cleanser - I had been using this to wash off my eye makeup at night and I thought it was okay, but it's really drying. I so wanted this one to work. Oh well.

B.B. Lip Balm - Okay, I suppose these are supposed to be similar to Maybelline Baby Lips, but no. Don't do it. These are not smooth and felt dry when I applied it. No thank you.

Body Rave Pink Passion Foot Scrub - What is this stuff? I'm not sure what it is, but it's not a scrub, that is for sure! It's mostly some kind of gel with a few grains in it. It you see this in the isle, turn around and go the other way!

I tried a bunch of other beauty items for a dollar, but they ended up being a joke and I didn't want to even waist my time reviewing them.

Now, I realize you get what you pay for. But, when you can find a product that works well for just a buck, well...your girl is a happy camper!

Do you have any favorite Dollar Tree beauty items? Do tell!

  1. People sleep on the Dollar Store but they have some decent stuff. I always get stuff for get togethers there - like paper plates, cups, and napkins.

  5. I like the White Rain facial cleanser & actually use it sometimes... since it is indeed paraben free. I use the nail top coat it works well. I use the baby powder. The Dermasil lotion I do not like due to the contents. Love the Dollar tree and hunting for great things. Love they are affordable! #productreviewparty

  8. I love DT! Found the cutest t-shirt for our new puppy and picked up a little holder that holds bags so when I'm walking him I can quickly get his poop out of a neighbor's yard. Win win! #ProductReviewParty

  9. I rarely shop the $ tree store but, I need to stop in there more often. I'd love to see what they have for a little basket of goodies for my daughter in law. She's due around Valentine's Day. I take Sammie for seasonal projects and school stuff.

  11. If you have an Aldi nearby, they have a pretty good skin care line. Not a dollar, but still pretty inexpensive. They have good cleanser and Q10 cream.
