Hey girlfriends! Are you enjoying this beautiful weather we are having.? It’s been in the upper 70’s here and it’s beginning to feel warm outside. Can you believe we are just a few weeks from May? Summer will be here before we know it. Time to start thinking about summertime hairstyles.
As I have said before, wearing my hair curly is one of my favorite hairstyles and this summer, I’ll be sure to rock them. But, sometimes curly hair gets hot and I want to pin it up a bit. I have a perfect way to pin up your curly hair while looking summer time pretty.
First, I start out by washing my hair with the Garnier Whole Blends Hydrating Hair Care with Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk Shampoo & Conditioner which quenches and softens de-hydrated hair like mine. The wholesome goodness of Garnier Whole Blends Hydrating Hair Care is made to nourish, hydrate, and repair leaving you with naturally beautiful hair. I love a product that has anything coconut in it and vanilla is my all time favorite scent.
Of course, you know you can find Garnier Whole Blends Hydrating Hair Care at your local Walmart.
Next, I add curls all over my head by using a curling iron.
Now on to the fun part. I created a quick and easy tutorial for making a flower hair clip for summer.
Make a D.I.Y. Flower Hair Clip in 3 Steps!
You will need:
A glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors
A sturdy artificial flower
A hair clip
1. Start off by cutting the stem off of the flower.
2. Next, apply a generous amount of glue to the back of the flower with the glue gun.
3. Then, press flower onto hair clip for a few seconds. Let it dry for several hours.
Viola!
How are you wearing your hair for Summer? Which Whole Blends collection will you try?
Omigosh! That clip is a great idea. I have to try that with my little lady. We sure do love a good craft/beauty project.
It's sooo easy, anyone can do this.
That flower clip is too adorable. I will have to try the Garnier line, I haven't but I am interested to see how it will condition these curls of mine.
I'd like to try some of the other collection like the one with shea butter and coconut oil.
I love your hair diy! I think Sammie is cutting her hair short so making a few hair clips like this would be perfect. Pinning for lager. I bet that shampoo smells amazing too!
It smells great Theresa. You and your daughter would love it!
Love the clip! Such a contemporary twist to the Billie Holiday look.
Oh…I does look like that now that you mention it.
Too cute! I will be rocking curls and flowers this summer, too! I love this time of year!!
Me too girlfriend!
Hmmm, I haven't tried this line yet, but I'm going to look out for it. Sounds amazing! Love the DIY… too cute. My hairstyle(s) for summer? Crazy curls/afro and long braids.
I could so see a pretty flower clip like this in your fro and twists.
I saw your cute diy hair pin! I didn't think this would be for our hair type but seeing the results on you I need to reconsider!
Thank you! I would suggest looking at the collections that are rich with oils and butters.
That is so cute!
How do you like the new Garnier line? I saw it at my Walmart the other day and I'm curious!
I like it. The shampoo was a bit drying and I'd use it more for clarifying purposes, but the conditioners left my hair soft.
Super cute, Stacie! And that color looks terrific on you! Loving the way these Whole Blends products smell, too…so lovely. [client]
Thank you so much Kristi!
The hair clip is really cute and simple. I'm always nervous about products that aren't made for my hair by people who have hair like mine.
I get it! I would suggest the Coconut Oil & Coco butter blend and the Avocado Oil & She Butter Blend if your hesitant.
You look fabulous! I love curls in the summer too, but the humidity here in the Midwest usually kills it for me. I need to check out this brand!
I'm in the Midwest so I feel you on that humidity!
The clip is super cute Stacie. I haven't tried the Whole Blends line but it looks really good.
Thank you Vashti!
Very cute flower; so creative! Thanks for sharing this product too.

Your clip is so cute! I love pink and I love easy DIY projects. I have my hair in a protective style right now and cannot wait to see my natural hair again.
Thank you! Hope it growing well for you.
I to love anything coconut and/or vanilla. I will look for these products.
