Celebrate the End of the School Year with a Family Movie Night

Schools out for summer and my youngest couldn't be any happier! He has successfully completed junior high and is on his way to high school. He is so excited!

We plan to celebrate the end of school by having a family movie night with lots of movie snacks.  And what is a summer family night without ice cream!

Of course, no teen can be found without his phone even during family night. But that's okay, having a cell phone will make it easy for my son to stay in touch with his friends over the summer break.

I headed to my local Walmart to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime for just $129 roll back from $149. What's also cool is that the Walmart Family Mobile Starter Kit is on rollback and because the plan is paid at the end of the month, you can start any plan for $19.88 regularly $25.

What I love about the Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan is that it comes with unlimited talk, text, and data and gives me 10 GB of 4G LTE service. I also get a free movie on VUDU ($7 value) and I can watch my free VUDU movie by streaming right to my TV. All that for only $49.88! The extra data means plenty of summer surfing, gaming, and snap-chatting for my son. Plus, getting a free movie every month means we can have several movie nights this summer.

Have you tried the Walmart Family Mobile Plan? How will you celebrate the end of school?

  2. I've never tried that plan before but it seems very cost effective! We ended the school year with a trip to the movies, which we rarely do, with our dollar store snacks in my big bag lol!

  3. I haven't tried the Walmart Family Mobile Plan. Luckily, I have a grandfathered plan from att with unlimited data. I'm trying to hold on to it as long as possible.

  5. That is great especially when you have kids. Walmart is a little far from me though so I don't get to one very often.

  7. Your son is about the same age as my youngest daughter. They always have to have there cell phones. lol I have tried WFM & got the same plan. It's nice to know you'll not rack up overage fees! We just took a mini vacay for 3 days to celebrate. So needed, I wish I could go back. Of course she stayed connected posting on Instagram.... Happy Summer!

  10. We are huge fans of movie night in our home. Our son is getting a bit older and will need a cell phone soon. I'm all about a plan like this for him. He needs to crawl before he can walk.

  13. That Wal-Mart cellphone plan sounds like a great deal. I have a pre-paid plan but it has less data, so I may need to switch to this one :) Thanks for sharing.

  14. My daughters are begging to have their own cell phones. I'm not ready for that yet, maybe once they're in middle school. I'll check out Walmart then, my oldest will be in middle school next year. #ProductReviewParty
