Tornado Hit Us

It's a gloomy rainy day here in Minneapolis. The constant buzz of chain saws and wood chippers grinding up trees have become all too familiar. I haven't really gotten much sleep. They had to remove a tree blocking power lines in the alley across the street and started sawing at 1:00am. I never knew that you could legally make that much noise in the wee hours of the night. I guess it was necessary for someone else's need. That's all for now. Here's a few pics for you.

Oh yeah, that's my car!

Tornado update

Yesterday was a really difficult day for me, so I didn't write. But here are a few more pictures of the freak tornado that hit our neighborhood.

The Red Cross Truck outside our home.

Cleanup has begun.

Another storm brewing the next day.

*Just a quick note. Our wonderful president didn't declare this area a federal disaster so no aide will be given to help the families that desperately need it. :( That's why I have to trust God and not man!

Life has pretty much returned back to normal for my family and I. Work has started on our house, the trees have been removed, cut and mulched, and the kids are back in school. It's hard to even guess that a Tornado even swept through the neighborhood and that's a good thing.

New trees will be planted in the spring to replace the lost ones. That's the sad part of this storm. So many streets are now without these wonderful shade producing giants. and we'll truly have to get used to the extra sun.

I'm sure some of you may be wondering what happened to our minivan? I must say that God blessed us, no doubt! We were able to replace our van with another one of the same year. And get this, it has power everything lol! So it looks like everything did turn out for our good, just like the word says. So why was I trippin'!

  1. HOLY COW! I just thought of this! I cannot believe that happened. We heard about it on the radio and the lady who was coming to the networking group (and canceled) was out covering the story! Do you need anything?

  2. Yes! I need a car lol!

    Anything would help right now.
