Snow White & The Huntsman Movie Review

There's nothing like starting your weekend off with family movie night.  I popped some popcorn, made some juice, and made it a .  Friday night's choice was Snow White And The Huntsman which actually releases on Sept. 11th.

My husband and youngest son had went to see this movie earlier this year and I had heard that it was pretty good.  So I was glad to receive this Extended Edition to review.

First of all I must tell you how I love the new Digital Copy movies.  It allows you to watch your movies in a variety of ways.  Blue-Ray, DVD, Digital copies that can be instantly streamed and downloaded to phones, tablets, computers, and TVs, as well as UltraViolet with stores movies in the cloud.  You can literally take the movie anywhere you go!

In this spectacular action-adventure, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) is Snow White, the only woman in the land fairer than the evil queen Ravenna (Oscar®winner Charlize Theron). Ravenna wants nothing more than to destroy her young rival, but she doesn’t know that Show White has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) the queen dispatched to kill her. Together with a handsome prince (Sam Claflin) enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power, they assemble an armed force to recapture the kingdom. This breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders is, in the words of Shawn Edwards, Fox-TV, “A film that soars with creativity, stylistic genius and amazing battle scenes.”

My thoughts:

I love movies that are set in mid evil times and Snow White & the Huntsman did not disappoint.  I really didn't know what to expect from the movie, but it wasn't the basic fairy-tail that some might think.  It was suspenseful and full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.  With all the movies that are releasing, this is definitely worth adding to your library.  I can't wait to watch it again!

Disclosure:  I received this DVD in exchange for my review.  Opinions are all mine.

  1. I love movie night. I like the way the movie is set up too. I was wondering how they were going to do it to keep us from buying every gadget that comes out.

Holla at your girl!
