Getting Fresh with Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream

As an Influenster, I received a Sunkissed Voxbox and I wanted to share what I got with you all, though I'm not required.  As usual, opinions are my own.

BB Cream has been all the rage for some time now. Since I'm not a huge foundation fan, I have dreamed of trying it out.  I think I did the "Cabage patch" when I found out it was in the latest Summer Voxbox kit that this gal would be getting!

This first thing I noticed was that it was light.  Aw shoot, I hope it works for my skin tone were my first thoughts.  But I tried a dab on my hand and it seemed fine.

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 is supposed to keep your skin hydrated for 24 hours while providing sheer color.  It provides sunscreen and evens skin tone.  You can purchase it for cost $12.99 in two shades fair/light and light/medium.

O.k. now for the real test.  Let's see how this bad boy...uh...girl works!

Before Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream

After applying

The Good

It seems to blend well and goes on smooth.  My face felt moisturized as I put it on and it gave my skin tone an even look.

The Bad

It would have been nice to receive the light/medium shade.  I think it would have been a better choice since I'm a women of color.  I'm not sure exactly how Influenster determines who gets what in their Voxboxes, but this would show a bit more personalization if they paid attention to it.  Nevertheless, I'm happy with what I got.  I will probably use this in the fall/winter months when my tan fades.

What do you think about BB Cream?  Do you wear it?

Disclosure: I received complimentary products for testing purposed through Influenster.

  1. I haven't tried the Olay BB cream, but I do have another one. I like the shade okay, but it lacks sticktoitness. I do not like how it comes off on my phone and it tends to make my skin oilier. Maybe I should try Olay because I do use that brand a lot - night cream, moisturizer, cleanser...

  2. I haven't tried the Olay BB Cream, when I do use it, I use the Maybelline brand. I've found that CC cream works better for me. It's a better coverage for me. I use the Smashbox brand.
