Reveal Your Skin's Youthful Energy with Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9

I received samples in order to facilitate my review. Opinions are my own.

Now that I am in my forties, I have to pay closer attention to my facial skin than I ever did.  I want to keep my young looks so I decided to try out products that will help me do so.

Yves Rocher has a new line of skin care called Elixir 7.9.  It is designed to help with your kin's first signs of wrinkles and fatigue.

What does 7.9 mean?  7 Plant and 9 patents.

Green Rice Inossitol - improves radiance
Sandthorn Seed Extract - improves volume, density, and elasticity
Aloe Vera - Strength and hydration
Apple Oligosides - smooth wrinkles, boost radiance, improves global function of skin
Aphloia Extract - protects against environmental stressors
Beet Root Extract - Protects against dehydration and stressors
Tara Seed Extracts - Fights against sagging, improves skin's cohesion

Wow, that was a mouthful!  I admit, I did know what any of these were until now, but it's nice to know so much thought and research has gone into making these products work.

Elixer 7.9 says by:

1 Day - skin appears re-energized
1 Week - first wrinkles appear smoothed
1 Month - skin appears radiant with youth

Elixir 7.9 Day Cream 40 ml jar $56
Eye Care Roll-on $42
Sorry it's blurry.  Youth Intensifier Serum $56

Program directions:

1. Morning and Night, apply serum before the cream.
2. Morning apply cream.
3. Then apply eye care roll-on.
4. At night, apply night cream.

My thoughts:

I really don't have many wrinkles to begin with, so I didn't apply these products every day.  My skin is very sensitive and it is very hard to find a regimen that works for me.  The face lotion was nice and smooth and I didn't really have any problems with it.  However, I did find that the night time lotion was a bit much, as it made my face feel greasy at night.  As I said before, my face can be extremely sensitive at times, and I had a slight reaction to the under eye product so I couldn't use it much.  Too bad, because my dark circles could really use some help.

All in all, I like the Youth Energy Day cream best.  The super smooth texture and aloe scent was soothing and made my face feel pampered.

How do you deal with signs of aging?

  1. Girl, you know me. I am always slathering on some cream, lotion, toner, line something or 'nother. A friend of mine sold Mary Kay in the late 1990s & early 2000s and she said to me one day after gazing at my skin, 'What do you use on your face for cleansing?' Or moisturizing or something. When I told her, she said I'm going to need you to start using something and she pointed out the "problem" area. I was still in my 30s and I thought, "This is it. That natural beautiful skin is gonna take some work now. ... Oh how we age..." Yes, a bit dramatic, LOL, but I have kept that in mind all these years. It makes me sure to pay attention to what's up with my skin. Even those lines y'all say you can't see. :-D

  2. I drink lots of water, stay active and pray I pick up my dad's good genes and stay young looking!!! I do use other products that I like a lot. My skin is also very sensitive so I can't get too fancy or put too much on it. #productreviewparty

  3. I don't have a problem with aging skin so I don't use products that is meant for that. I use products that will help acne prone skin and help moisturize it. #ProductReviewParty

    1. Me too, Louida. Thankfully, I don't have to worry to much about my facial skin besides the occasional blemish.
