Okay book lovers, It's National Independent Bookstore Day, and what better way to celebrate than by showing some love to our amazing independent bookstores right here in the Twin Cities! From cozy bookstores filled with used books and new book selections, Minneapolis and St. Paul are full of indie bookstores to check out.
Happy April friends! Spring is in full effect and there’s so many things to do in the Twin Cities.
Here are just a few of my favorite April events.
Twin Cities Auto Show April 11th–13 & 16–19
Minneapolis Convention Center
Her Story Book Fair April 12th
Midtown Global Market
The Black Market
767 N. Eustis St. Saint Paul.
Art in Bloom April 24th–27th
Minneapolis Institute of Art
These are just a few of the spring events taking place this month. I’ll continue to add more so check back.
What are you looking forward to this April?
It’s time for Escape to Paradise the Galleria Floral Experience! The annual spring flower show by Bachman’s is an immersive floral display that everyone can enjoy.
This year‘s theme shares vibrant flowers and exotic fashions all throughout the mall. Over 20 blooming displays and vignettes line the hallways of the Edina’s Galleria and you must see the 12 foot tall giraffe and yellow floral gown made of hundreds of flowers and greenery.
My thoughts
There were so many beautiful flower arrangements and displays, but my favorite had to be the ladies face with the butterfly hair. This year the flower show felt noticeably smaller than previous years. But I will say that it definitely had more walking room and didn’t feel as cramped in the halls.
Be sure to stop by the Bachman‘s store to grab some of your favorite seasonal decor. Bachman‘s pop-up shop.
It’s all free and open to the public from March 23rd through April 6th and it’s open daily 10 AM to 7 PM. Parking can be a challenge and I suggest parking in the ramp near the Westin.
Come along with me to Falls Coffee, a local coffee shop just a few minutes walk from Minnehaha Falls.
It’s a nice bright space and they have everything you need to start your morning right. It’s also a perfect work from home spot.
You can expect to find signature coffee drinks, like the skull latte and cold fashion classics like Falls, cream, cold brew, cookies, and cream, chiller, and mango fruit tea. They also offer ham and cheese, croissants, breakfast burrito, and more.
Check out Falls coffee menu here.
- I was excited to try the March coffee specials which included :
Muffin Top Chai - made with blueberry
Banana Bliss Matcha - made with banana syrup and cookie crumbles on top.
Blueberry scone
I absolutely loved the muffin top chai! It was fruity and sweet. Next time you’re in the area, stop by and give them a try!
