Believe it or not, this product junkie knows how to stay on a beauty budget. In fact, I rarely spend more than twenty bucks a month. Honestly, it’s more like $10.

You may be thinking, how in the world do you only spend ten to twenty bucks a month? Girlfriend, it’s easier than you think. Below, I’ll show you a few of my tips that I’ve been using for years now.
How to Stay on a $20 Monthly Beauty Budget
1. Don’t forget your coupons sister-girl. Go online first a see if you can score beauty coupons. Also, don’t forget your newspaper still offers coupons on Sundays.
2. Shop beauty sales like Target’s beauty sale that gives you $5 off of a $20 purchase. You can use your coupons with the sale too to save even more cash!
3. Shop at ULTA. They always have a $3.50 off of a $10 purchase or 20% off coupon.
4. Comparison shop by checking sales ads. See if what you’re looking for is on sale or cheaper at a different store. For example, Shea Moisture has awesome BOGO deals from time to time at Walgreens and CVS.
5. Be sure to sign up for your favorite beauty brand email list and also snail mail. Many times, brands will send exclusive coupons to their email list customers. I’m always getting coupons for free
Bath & Body Works products.
6. Buy samples. Does the latest product you want offer a smaller size or sample? Buy it first. If you end up hating it, you won’t be out of much money.
7. Speaking of samples, subscribe to a beauty subscription box like Ipsy or Essence. Ipsy is just $10 so you really can’t beat that deal. Target and Walmart even offer them. Here are my thoughts on a Target box I purchased.
Decide that you aren’t going to go over $20 no matter what. Okay easy enough. But what happens if want to try something over $20? Well, you can always skip that month and roll it over to the next.

So what do you think? Can you stay on a $20 monthly beauty budget?
It is almost impossible for me to stay within a $50 budget, let alone $20. This article is really helpful though because it gives great pointers. I am so bad at comparison shopping. xoxo, Maisha
I really need to get into these coupons. That was a great suggestion.
Great tips! I'm not sure if I could spend only $20 a month between my 3 daughters and I, but I know I could be more diligent about saving. I have an Ulta close by that I haven't been to yet, I need to check it out soon.
Haha! Two weeks too late for me, I spent an ungodly amount of dough in Target and Walmart last week on hair products. I will definitely keep these in mind for the future, though.
I probably have the oldest beauty products in my drawers so I save a lot of money in that area. Lol. I do like ULTA and it's true that coupons are the way to save.
I'm a coupon carrying sister, never leave home without a few. I love the subscription box idea too.
I always forget my ulta coupons at home. The last time the girl was nice enough to remind me to log onto the website from my phone to access a coupon.
$20? I wish but you know what? I'm going to give this a try and see what happens.
Ulta is on my list to visit for beauty products. I've been trying to go to Ulta for two months now, but something keeps coming up. I LOVE Sally's Beauty Supply! They have really good sales and discounts with their rewards card. I didn't know Target had a beauty sale. I need to remember that for next time I need more products!
These are great ideas! I love Ulta. They have the best deals.

Great ideas! I tend to go overboard on the natural hair products! That's where my money goes .
Great tips! Coupons and sales definitely help keep me within budget.
